Sponsor me! :-)

Over Easter I’m planning to walk the West Highland Way, a long distance hiking trail in Scotland. Along with three Munros (little mountains) en route this will total 125 miles over 12 days.
As part of my build-up to the hike, I’m hoping to raise money for three charities: World Land Trust (Rainforest purchase and protection), Trees for Life (rebuilding the Caledonian Forest in Scotland), and Trees for the Future (planting trees in the third world to give communities a livelihood).
While I’ll be sure to find multiple ways of raising money, for anyone who sponsors me I’m pledging to match their donation 100%. UK residents can also gift-aid their donation and the government will add 28% (for standard rate taxpayers). Finally, the company I work for matches charity fundraising up to £500.
The highest donor will also be given the opportunity to design a flag to be carried during the walk and displayed at the top of Ben Nevis.
I’m hoping to raise £500 by sponsorship. Through the fund matching explained above, that will send £1500 to the charities. Split evenly, that’s enough money to protect 10 acres of threatened rainforest forever, plant approximately 100 native trees in Scotland AND give 8,000 small trees and plants to support third world communities.
Ways to Sponsor Me:
1. Website. The easiest way to sponsor me is via this page (4% administration for UK taxpayers, 0% otherwise):
http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/davidwood
This also allows UK tax to be reclaimed and so is all around the best way.
2. Paypal. If you prefer Paypal you can donate directly to one of my target charities via this link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=4923915.
If you do this please let me know. : )
3. Bank Transfer (UK only). You could donate via bank transfer. The account I’m using for this has a sort code 403907 and an account number 61727095. Unfortunately, for most banks international transfers have rather large charges and so outside the UK this probably isn’t possible.
4. Cheque (UK only). You can make cheques payable to David Wood, or to one of the charities named above if you don’t trust me ; ) Email me if you’d like an address. Again there are large currency conversion charges for international cheques.
5. Cash. If you’re going to see me or work with me, this is always an option. Please feel free to email me to make a pledge even if you won’t see me for a while.
Thanks so much for any support you can give me, no matter how much or how little.
